Enzo Maresca confirmed as Manchester City manager on three-year deal
Enzo Maresca is the new manager of Manchester City. The 46-year-old Italian has signed a three-year contract with the club. He worked at City before as an assistant to Pep Guardiola for a year. Manchester City paid Chelsea 17 million pounds to hire him. Talks took a long time because of this fee. Maresca also agreed a personal deal with Chelsea after leaving them earlier this year. He wanted to take the City job as soon as he knew Guardiola was leaving. Maresca said he wants his team to win games and play good football. Chelsea knew he wanted this move and let him go once the money was paid.
