Porto triggers €17m buy clause for Jakub Kiwior from Arsenal
Portuguese champions FC Porto have officially triggered the purchase option in their loan agreement with Arsenal to sign Polish defender Jakub Kiwior on a permanent deal until 2030.
Primeira Liga champions FC Porto have finalized the permanent acquisition of defender Jakub Kiwior from Arsenal, officially exercising the purchase option embedded in his initial loan agreement.
The 26-year-old Polish international has committed to the Portuguese giants on a long-term contract running through June 2030, solidifyng his future at the Estadio do Dragão following a highly successful league-winning campaign.
The comprehensive financial structure of the transfer includes a guaranteed fixed fee of €17 million, supplemented by an additional €5 million in performance-related add-ons.
Arsenal will also retain a fixed €2 million payment from any future sale of the center-back. To safeguard their newly acquired defensive asset, Porto has officially installed a substantial €70 million release clause into Kiwior’s contract.
