Lamine Yamal poked fun at Argentina’s Leandro Paredes with a boxing-themed sign during Spain’s World Cup victory parade, days after a chaotic final marred by two Argentina red cards and a post-match scuffle.

Spain’s World Cup celebrations took a playful twist as Lamine Yamal held up a sign referencing a scuffle between Leandro Paredes and Gavi following the final whistle.

The placard read “Velada del Año VII: Paredes vs Gavi,” a nod to Ibai Llanos’ popular celebrity boxing event. Yamal appeared to relish the joke, smiling as fans passed it up during Madrid’s open-top bus parade.

Ferran Torres’ extra-time strike had sealed Spain’s 1-0 win, while Enzo Fernández was sent off for two bookable offences, including a foul on Pau Cubarsí.

FIFA has since confirmed a disciplinary investigation into Argentina’s post-match conduct, with Fernández separately thanking Argentine fans for their support throughout the tournament.
