Neymar Jr. Reacts to Gabriel Jesus’ Barcelona move with three-word message
Former Brazilian international Neymar Jr. has sent Gabriel Jesus a warm message after the Brazilian striker completed his move from Arsenal to Barcelona.
Neymar has publicly wished Gabriel Jesus well after his fellow Brazilian completed a deadline-day move from Arsenal to Barcelona, adding a personal touch to the striker’s arrival at Camp Nou.
The former Barcelona forward posted a picture of Jesus wearing the club’s famous colours on Instagram, accompanied by the brief message: “Good luck kid 😍😍😍.”
Jesus officially joined Barcelona on a three-year contract running until June 2029, with the transfer reportedly costing around €10 million (£8.6m), bringing an end to his four-year spell in north London.
The 29-year-old arrived after Barcelona’s efforts to sign Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid failed to produce a deal, although reports suggest the Catalan club’s interest in the Argentine could remain separate from Jesus’ arrival.
Jesus leaves Arsenal with 32 goals from 123 appearances and now faces a fresh challenge in Spain as Barcelona look to strengthen their attacking options following the departures of Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres.
His move also represents an opportunity to revive his career after injuries disrupted his time at Arsenal, including a serious knee problem that affected his consistency.
Neymar knows the demands of playing for Barcelona better than most, having spent four seasons at the club before moving to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.
The two Brazilians have also shared the pitch for their national team, making Neymar’s short message particularly significant as Jesus begins another chapter of his European career.
Barcelona will hope the experienced forward can provide versatility, goals and competition in attack under Hansi Flick as the club continues its push for domestic and European success.
