Morgan Rogers hilariously challenged Cole Palmer after the Chelsea star was awarded Man of the Match following their remarkable 6-3 Carabao Cup comeback against Leeds United.
Chelsea were two goals down early in the second half before Xabi Alonso’s substitutions transformed the game, with Palmer scoring twice and Rogers playing a decisive role in the turnaround.
Rogers, who claimed four assists during the thrilling comeback, was clearly unimpressed when he discovered Palmer had received the individual award.
“Mate, I got four assists! That’s criminal. He’s only scored a pen!” Rogers joked while speaking to Sky Sports, before Palmer fired back with a reminder that he had “started the comeback”.
The playful exchange underlined the growing chemistry and competitive spirit between the Chelsea attackers after their extraordinary second-half display.
