The Wales international’s Land Rover Defender flipped onto its roof on a residential road in Cottingham on Friday morning, with images of the damaged vehicle quickly circulating online.
Hull moved swiftly to reassure fans that the summer signing was safe, confirming that Thomas emerged from the crash without any injuries. Emergency services attended the scene and the road was temporarily closed while the incident was dealt with.
The accident comes at a particularly important moment for the 27-year-old, who only completed his move from Stoke City on transfer deadline day and is still settling into life in the Premier League.
Thomas made his top-flight debut in Hull’s goalless draw with Aston Villa and has already been identified by manager Sergej Jakirovic as an important attacking option because of his pace, crossing ability and set-piece quality.
