In the World Cup in Miami, Saudi Arabia held on for a one-one draw against Uruguay in their Group H match. Uruguay attacked a lot at the end of the game, but they could not break through the strong Saudi defense. Meanwhile, FIFA has cleared Australian video assistant referee Shaun Evans. People had accused him of making a racist hand sign during the tournament. FIFA looked into the case and found no proof that Evans broke any of their rules. Evans said he did not know he had made the gesture. He explained that the hand movement was just a sudden twitch that he did not even notice at the time.
