Chelsea have secured a €60 million agreement with Atalanta to sign defender Marco Palestra, who is traveling to London for his medical after the Blues hijacked Inter Milan’s transfer plans.

Chelsea have agreed a €60 million deal plus a ten percent future sell-on clause to sign Italy international defender Marco Palestra from Atalanta.

The Blues successfully hijacked Inter Milan’s long-running pursuit of the versatile 21-year-old fullback. With personal terms completely finalized, all necessary transfer paperwork is now being processed ahead of a formal club announcement.

Palestra is currently in Milan and ready to travel to London to undergo his mandatory medical examinations with Chelsea.
