Fulham agrees deal for Super Eagles’s Chibuike Nwaiwu in €30M deal
Fulham have reached a €30 million agreement with Trabzonspor to sign 22-year-old Nigerian international defender Chibuike Nwaiwu, with the Turkish club retaining a 13% sell-on clause.
Premier League club Fulham have finalized a significant transfer agreement with Turkish outfit Trabzonspor for highly-rated Nigerian center-back Chibuike Nwaiwu.
The total financial package for the 22-year-old defender is structured up to €30 million. This moves him to London following personal terms being successfully agreed upon by the player’s camp earlier this week.
The transfer structure guarantees Trabzonspor a €27 million base fee with an additional €3 million in performance-related add-ons. Crucially, the Turkish side has also secured a 13% sell-on clause on any future sale of the defender.
The Super Eagles star, who joined Trabzonspor in January, is expected to travel to London shortly to undergo medical examinations.
