Real Madrid’s decision to sign Yan Diomande for a deal worth up to €140 million could strengthen Bayern Munich’s position in their efforts to retain Michael Olise.

Real Madrid’s signing of Yan Diomande could make a move for Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise increasingly difficult.

The Spanish giants completed a deal worth up to €140 million for the Ivorian forward, according to reports, after previously being linked with Olise.

Bayern insider Christian Falk believes the move works in the German club’s favour because Diomande occupies a similar attacking position.

Real have also secured Vinicius Junior’s future until 2032, leaving the club with significant attacking options alongside Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham.

Bayern have consistently insisted that Olise is not for sale and could now use Real’s recruitment as part of their argument for a contract extension.

The France international joined Bayern in 2024 on a deal running until 2029, while recent reports indicate the German champions are prepared to offer improved terms to keep him in Munich.
