Chelsea are weighing the next step in Mykhailo Mudryk’s career as the Ukrainian winger attracts interest from several clubs, with the Blues favouring a loan move that would give him regular playing time after almost two years away from competitive football.
Leeds United had emerged as a potential destination after submitting an initial loan proposal, but Chelsea rejected the offer because it failed to meet their expectations, and the latest reports indicate the Premier League side is no longer considered a viable option.
Mudryk, 25, returned to action during Chelsea’s pre-season campaign after his anti-doping case was resolved, with the FA confirming that he was immediately eligible to resume his career.
Chelsea subsequently made clear that the priority was helping him regain fitness and reintegrate into the squad.
However, with Chelsea managing a large squad and Alonso assessing his attacking options, a temporary move is viewed as the best way for Mudryk to rebuild his rhythm through consistent competitive appearances.
Alonso has refused to commit to a final decision, stressing that Chelsea have time to determine the right destination rather than rushing into an agreement.
