Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has revealed that the club is strictly monitoring squad fitness during the offseason using detailed training schedules and GPS tracking devices.
Having been left out of Thomas Tuchel’s England World Cup squad, the 33-year-old centre-back is currently navigating his longest summer break in years while keeping up with United’s mandatory remote training regimes.
United will kick off their extensive European pre-season tour under manager Michael Carrick on July 8. The Red Devils have scheduled friendly matches across Finland, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, and Poland to prepare for the upcoming campaign.
Their schedule begins against Wrexham in Helsinki on July 18, before culminating in an opening Premier League fixture away at Hull City on August 22.
