Newcastle United have reached a verbal agreement with Matthias Jaissle to become their new head coach, stepping in as the successor to Eddie Howe.

The arrangement with the 38-year-old German manager is set to run until June 2030 and is anticipated to be officially signed in the coming days, with current club Al-Ahli fully informed of the development.

Jaissle transitions to St James’ Park following a successful stint in the Saudi Pro League, where he secured back-to-back AFC Champions League Elite titles.
