More funds for United as Mason Greenwood set for €40M Fenerbache move
Mason Greenwood is on the verge of completing a €40 million transfer from Marseille to Fenerbahçe on a four-year contract, netting Manchester United a significant financial windfall in the process.
English forward Mason Greenwood is poised to complete a €40 million move to Turkish giants Fenerbahçe from Olympique de Marseille. The 24-year-old attacker has agreed to a lucrative four-year contract running until June 2030.
Despite a determined, last-minute push from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli to hijack the deal, Greenwood elected to decline their approach to finalize his transfer to Istanbul.
The high-profile transfer will also trigger a major financial windfall for Greenwood’s former club, Manchester United.
Under the terms negotiated during his 2024 departure from Old Trafford, the Premier League side secured a substantial sell-on clause, which is expected to net them a significant multi-million-euro share of the €40 million fee as Marseille registers the sale.
