Everton reach agreement to sign Arsenal midfielder

Everton are closing in on the signing of Arsenal midfielder Christian Norgaard as David Moyes strengthens his squad for the new Premier League season.

Everton are on the verge of signing Arsenal midfielder Christian Norgaard in a deal worth around £7 million. The Denmark international is expected to undergo a medical next week after the clubs reached an agreement in principle.

Norgaard made 20 appearances in all competitions as Arsenal ended their long wait for the Premier League title before becoming available for transfer.

David Moyes has prioritised midfield reinforcements following Idrissa Gueye’s departure and James Garner’s injury setback. Hayden Hackney has already arrived this summer, while Norgaard’s experience is expected to add depth and leadership.

Everton are also reportedly pursuing Manchester United youngster Ethan Wheatley as part of their ongoing recruitment drive.
