Player Ratings: João Pedro gets 8.5, Neto impresses in Chelsea 4-3 win over Brighton

Chelsea survived a dramatic Brighton fightback to secure a 4-3 victory at Stamford Bridge, maintaining their perfect Premier League start under Xabi Alonso.

The Blues raced into a three-goal lead before Brighton responded, but Cole Palmer’s decisive strike ultimately settled the seven-goal contest.

Martínez made several important saves on his Chelsea debut and showed composure under pressure, although Brighton’s three goals prevented a higher rating.

Wesley Fofana – 6.5/10

Fofana worked hard defensively, making several useful clearances and helping Chelsea deal with Brighton’s sustained attacking pressure.

Maxence Lacroix – 6.5/10
