Adidas takes over from Nike as Nigeria’s National Teams kit supplier in major $8.5m deal

Nigeria are set for a return to Adidas from 2027 under a reported deal that could significantly boost the NFF’s commercial revenue and equipment supply.

Nigeria are set for a major change in their national-team kit partnership, with Adidas expected to replace Nike as the country’s official supplier from 2027.

The proposed agreement would see the German sportswear giant pay the Nigeria Football Federation $4.5 million annually in cash, while supplying equipment worth a further $4 million to the country’s various national teams.

The reported package would therefore be worth about $8.5 million each year before additional commercial income.

The NFF is also expected to receive 20 per cent of sales generated through Adidas stores, potentially creating another significant revenue stream from Nigeria-branded merchandise.

The partnership would mark Adidas’ return to Nigeria after previously supplying the national teams before Nike took over in 2015.
