Barcelona have secured the signing of highly-rated 2007-born Ecuadorian winger Josué Caicedo from LDU Quito on an initial loan deal that includes a future purchase obligation structured around performance metrics.

FC Barcelona have completed the signing of teenage winger Josué Caicedo from Ecuadorian heavyweights LDU Quito. The 2007-born prodigy will initially move to the Catalan club on a temporary loan agreement.

However, senior club sources confirm the transaction incorporates specific performance-related triggers that would automatically transform the deal into a permanent obligation for the Spanish giants.

The total financial package required to permanently secure the highly-rated South American attacker is expected to reach approximately €2.5 million.
