FC Barcelona have completed the signing of teenage winger Josué Caicedo from Ecuadorian heavyweights LDU Quito. The 2007-born prodigy will initially move to the Catalan club on a temporary loan agreement.
However, senior club sources confirm the transaction incorporates specific performance-related triggers that would automatically transform the deal into a permanent obligation for the Spanish giants.
The total financial package required to permanently secure the highly-rated South American attacker is expected to reach approximately €2.5 million.
Caicedo, recognized for his exceptional pace and direct dribbling capability on the flanks, is initially slated to integrate into the club’s La Masia academy structures and Barça Atlètic squad to continue his professional development.
