Chelsea confirm Filip Jorgensen’s season-long loan move to Strasbourg
Chelsea have confirmed that goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen will spend the 2026/27 season on loan at French Ligue 1 club Strasbourg.
Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen has completed a season-long loan move to French Ligue 1 club Strasbourg.
The Blues confirmed the transfer on Tuesday, bringing an end to speculation surrounding the Denmark international’s future ahead of the new campaign.
Jorgensen joined Chelsea in the summer of 2024 and has made 36 appearances for the London club across two seasons. He was part of the squad that won the UEFA Conference League in 2025, starting all but one of their matches in the competition.
The 24-year-old also featured during Chelsea’s successful FIFA Club World Cup campaign later that year. Last season, he made 12 appearances across four competitions as the Blues reached the semi-finals of both domestic cup competitions.
His move to Strasbourg will provide Jorgensen with an opportunity for regular first-team football.
Reports had indicated that the transfer was being finalised after he left Chelsea’s pre-season tour, with the deal ultimately completed as a straightforward loan.
