Galatasaray Closing In On Rafael Leao as Player Gives Initial Green Light
Galatasaray are closing in on Rafael Leao from AC Milan, with the player giving an initial green light and the clubs agreeing a fee around €45m plus add-ons, per Fabrizio Romano and multiple Italian outlets.
Aston Villa have re-entered the picture in the last 24 hours pushing for a loan-with-obligation structure, but Milan prefer a straight permanent sale, favoring Galatasaray’s approach.
Jorge Mendes is running parallel talks for Leao, and Galatasaray even enlisted Victor Osimhen to help persuade him, offering up to €12m a year, more than Villa are reportedly willing to pay.
Leao has fallen out of favor under new Milan boss Ruben Amorim despite 80 goals in 255 Serie A appearances since 2019.
With Galatasaray meeting Milan’s valuation and personal terms now the final piece, this is edging toward completion; but Leao has the final say.
