John Terry set for Stamford Bridge return as Chelsea confirm Tottenham legends clash
Chelsea legend John Terry will return to Stamford Bridge in March 2027 when the Blues’ former stars face Tottenham in a charity clash supporting community initiatives.
John Terry is set for an emotional return to Stamford Bridge after being confirmed as the first Chelsea legend for a charity showdown with Tottenham in March 2027.
The former captain will lead the Blues’ legends against their north London rivals on March 27, with the fixture designed to raise funds for the Chelsea Foundation and support community work through Spurs in the Community.
Terry, who made 717 appearances for Chelsea and captained the club through one of its most successful eras, will renew a rivalry that produced several memorable encounters during his playing career.
The 45-year-old remains involved with Chelsea as a part-time academy coaching consultant, having returned to help develop the club’s younger players after ending his playing career.
His appearance will also add another chapter to a post-retirement journey that has included coaching ambitions, although a permanent managerial opportunity has so far remained elusive.
Chelsea and Tottenham are expected to announce further former stars for the fixture in the coming months, with supporters already able to secure tickets for the Stamford Bridge meeting.
