Jordan Pickford faces court after Lamborghini incident nearly caused multi-car crash
Jordan Pickford has pleaded guilty to careless driving after his Lamborghini was pursued by police in Cheshire following an incident that allegedly forced two motorists to brake suddenly.
Everton and England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is facing a court hearing after admitting careless driving following a police pursuit involving his Lamborghini Urus in Cheshire.
The incident happened in Knutsford on April 14, when the 32-year-old allegedly ignored a give-way marking and pulled onto a road, forcing two vehicles to brake sharply to avoid a collision.
A police officer who witnessed the incident then pursued Pickford after the Lamborghini accelerated away, with the patrol car reportedly reaching 50mph in a 30mph zone.
Pickford was subsequently stopped and reported for driving without due care and attention. He later entered a guilty plea through the Single Justice Procedure but requested an appearance before a magistrate so he could present mitigation.
His case has now been scheduled for December 7 at Chester Magistrates’ Court.
A conviction for careless driving can result in penalty points or a driving ban, meaning the Everton goalkeeper could face a significant consequence from an incident that occurred several months ago. Court reports were published on Monday, October 5.
