France forward Kylian Mbappé continues his historic run at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, extending his record-breaking tally to 11 career knockout-stage goals.
The milestone was achieved during France’s hard-fought victory over Paraguay in the Round of 16. Mbappé’s clinical form further secures his status as the highest goalscorer in the tournament’s modern elimination history.
Remarkably, the 27-year-old captain has single-handedly outscored several elite football nations in knockout rounds since the 2018 tournament.
In that time frame, Mbappé’s 11 goals surpass the total knockout outputs of Brazil and England, who have each scored 10. Portugal follows with nine goals, while 2010 champions Spain have managed just four.
