Official: Ousmane Diomande Completes Nottingham Forest Move From Sporting
Ousmane Diomande has officially completed his move to Nottingham Forest from Sporting CP, with the club and Fabrizio Romano confirming a fixed €40m fee.
He’s signed a four-year deal to June 2030, with a club option to extend to 2031, a move driven personally by head coach Oliver Glasner, who’d previously tried to sign him at Crystal Palace.
It caps weeks of negotiation over the deal’s structure. Diomande made 132 appearances across four seasons at Sporting, helping them win back-to-back Primeira Liga titles and reach the Champions League knockouts, and brings 16 Ivory Coast caps including their 2023 AFCON win.
He’s expected to slot straight into Glasner’s back three alongside Nikola Milenkovic and Murillo, giving Forest a defensive trio few Premier League sides can match on paper.
