Official: Trevoh Chalobah Leaves Chelsea for Como After Two Decades at Stamford Bridge
Trevoh Chalobah has officially left Chelsea for Como, ending an almost 20-year association with his boyhood club.
Both clubs confirmed the deal: a €30m fixed fee plus €6m in add-ons and a sell-on clause, with Chalobah signing a five-year contract to reunite with Cesc Fabregas.
He came through Chelsea’s academy from age nine, winning the UEFA Youth League and back-to-back FA Youth Cups before loans at Lorient, Huddersfield, Ipswich, and Palace shaped him into a first-team player, with 151 appearances and five major trophies, including the FA Cup and Conference League.
His exit follows Chelsea’s £52m Maxence Lacroix signing, with Xabi Alonso trimming his centre-back options; Badiashile and Disasi are expected to follow.
Last season was his busiest yet with 47 games, three goals, and a late England World Cup call-up as the Three Lions finished third.
He now joins Como for their first-ever Champions League campaign after a fourth-place Serie A finish, in a deal that also books as pure profit for Chelsea.
