Real Madrid are set to launch an opening bid for Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez after agreeing to personal terms with the Argentine midfielder on a contract through 2032.

Real Madrid are preparing an opening transfer bid to Chelsea for Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernandez after successfully securing a personal terms agreement.

The Spanish giants have lined up a long-term contract running until 2032 for the 25-year-old playmaker, who is currently representing Argentina at the 2026 World Cup.

Under manager Jose Mourinho, Fernandez has emerged as Madrid’s primary summer midfield target.

The move now hinges entirely on the two clubs finding common ground, with Chelsea reportedly holding firm on a hefty valuation of at least £120 million.

Fernandez has long expressed a desire to play at the Santiago Bernabeu, even informing the West London club of his wish to depart.

Because the Blues missed out on European football, negotiations are expected to intensify in the coming days.
