Remo Stars club president Kunle Soname has rewarded striker Victor Mbaoma with a brand-new car for finishing the season as the league’s joint-top scorer with 14 goals, despite the club’s relegation to the Nigeria National League.

Remo Stars Sporting Club President, Kunle Soname, has presented a brand-new vehicle to striker Victor Mbaoma. The presentation, which took place on Tuesday in Ikenne, fulfills a seasonal promise made to the prolific forward.

Mbaoma earned the luxury gift after finishing the fiercely competitive 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) campaign as the league’s joint-highest goalscorer with 14 goals.

The individual milestone provides a bittersweet consolation for the Sky Blue Stars following an incredibly turbulent domestic league campaign.

Despite Mbaoma’s consistent attacking output, his goalscoring exploits were ultimately not enough to secure top-flight safety for his team.

Just twelve months after celebrating their historic, first-ever NPFL title, Remo Stars finished 17th and will officially compete in the second-tier Nigeria National League (NNL) next season.
