Vozinha leaves Colo-Colo hanging after late U-turn
Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha has thrown his proposed move to Colo-Colo into doubt after failing to travel to Chile, with Moroccan champions RS Berkane attempting a late move for the veteran.
Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha has left Colo-Colo hanging after making a late U-turn on his expected move to Chile.
The 40-year-old failed to board his scheduled flight from Portugal on Thursday, despite being due to complete his medical and finalize his transfer with the Chilean giants.
The unexpected delay is not believed to be for personal reasons. Instead, Moroccan side RS Berkane, recently appointed by former Cape Verde coach Bubista, are reportedly trying to hijack the deal with a fresh offer, leaving the veteran goalkeeper’s immediate future uncertain.
Vozinha, who became one of the breakout stars of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, had previously said he wanted to join a club that valued him as a footballer rather than a marketing tool.
His next destination now remains unclear as Colo-Colo await a final decision.
