Guardiola has taken a global ambassador position with City Football Group, advising clubs like Palermo, Lommel and Troyes, which prevents him from taking any coaching job elsewhere.

CEO Ferran Soriano confirmed City are “very happy” Guardiola is staying involved with the group. While Tuchel holds a contract until Euro 2028, the manner of the Argentina defeat has raised questions over his future — questions Guardiola, for now, cannot answer.
