Wolves forced to cancel training amid Tolu Arokodare standoff
Wolves reportedly cancelled a training session after striker Tolu Arokodare refused to leave the pitch when instructed by the coaching staff.
Relegated Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly cancelled Monday’s training session after Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare refused to leave the pitch when told not to train with the first-team squad.
New head coach Cesar Peixoto is said to have taken a firm stance on discipline, with the incident marking a major escalation in the player’s uncertain future at the Championship club.
Reports also claim additional security was deployed at Compton Park on Tuesday to prevent Arokodare from accessing training, while the 25-year-old has been omitted from the squad for the pre-season trip to Maidenhead United.
The striker has been linked with a summer exit, with interest previously reported from clubs in Italy and Turkey.
