Lukaku Closing In On Fenerbahce Move as Napoli Accept Improved Bid
Lukaku is closing in on a move to Fenerbahce after Napoli accepted an improved bid worth over €6m plus bonuses, having rejected an initial ~€5m offer a day earlier.
Fabrizio Romano confirms the club-to-club agreement, and Gianluca Di Marzio reports Lukaku has already passed his medical in Istanbul, with paperwork expected to be finalised imminently.
Some Turkish outlets cite a higher total package closer to €10m once bonuses are included. Personal terms are done too, Lukaku has agreed a reported €10m-a-season contract and given the move his full approval.
It ends a two-year Napoli spell that included a Scudetto, following reports the relationship cooled after Lukaku sought treatment in Belgium without club permission. Napoli have separately been linked with Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus as a potential replacement.
With the medical passed and only formalities left, this looks close to done, Lukaku could be confirmed as a Fenerbahce player within days.
