Chelsea have reached an agreement with Napoli for Benoît Badiashile to join on loan, with a €27 million option to buy.

Chelsea have reached a final agreement with Napoli for Benoît Badiashile to join the Serie A champions on loan.

According to transfer reports, Napoli will pay a €3 million loan fee, with a further €1 million available in add-ons, while the deal includes an option to buy the French centre-back for €27 million.

Badiashile is now undergoing his medical ahead of completing the move.

The 25-year-old joined Chelsea from Monaco in January 2023 but has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter at Stamford Bridge, with injuries and competition for places limiting his opportunities.

Napoli had been pursuing the defender for several weeks and previously faced differences with Chelsea over the permanent valuation.

The agreement now allows Badiashile to begin a new chapter in Italy under Massimiliano Allegri.
