Super Falcons-eligible Rachael Adedini signs pro contract with Chelsea
Rachael Adedini has signed her first professional contract with Chelsea, securing a multi-year deal through 2029 following impressive development spells across Manchester’s top youth academies.
Women’s Super League side Chelsea have completed the signing of highly-regarded teenage forward Rachael Adedini, securing the 17-year-old prospect on her first professional contract through the summer of 2029.
Born in Le Havre, France, Adedini developed her craft through French grassroots sides before making the transition to English youth football in 2022.
She spent two seasons within Manchester United’s academy standard prior to joining cross-town rivals Manchester City in 2024.
Her standout displays at youth development level attracted interest from multiple top-flight English clubs before Chelsea moved swiftly to finalize the permanent transfer.
Adedini has established herself as a elite offensive talent on the international stage, featuring heavily for France across various youth categories.
During the 2026 UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship, she finished as the tournament’s joint-top scorer, equaling the competition’s all-time record of nine career goals and earning a selection in the official Team of the Tournament.
Despite her current youth international commitments with France, Adedini remains eligible to represent Nigeria’s Super Falcons at the senior international level through her parents.
Known for her clinical finishing and physical profile, the young attacker will join the Blues’ setup as Chelsea seek to bolster their long-term depth while competing at the summit of European football.
