Bayern set for Nestory Irankunda windfall as Sporting agrees €18M deal with Watford
Australian forward Nestory Irankunda is closing in on a transfer to Sporting CP from Watford in an €18 million total package, with former club Bayern Munich entitled to a 40 percent sell-on clause.
Sporting CP have reached a full agreement with Watford to secure the services of exciting young Australian forward Nestory Irankunda. The Portuguese giants will pay a guaranteed €15 million fee alongside €3 million in potential add-ons.
Furthermore, due to a pre-existing sell-on clause from his previous transfer history, German powerhouse Bayern Munich is set to receive 40 percent of the proceeds.
The 20-year-old Socceroos international, who recently featured at the World Cup, has already been scheduled for his medical examinations.
The imminent switch offers Irankunda a high-profile platform in Portugal, while Watford and Bayern navigate the financial split of a lucrative multi-million-euro sale.
