Chelsea have been fined £10 million by the Football Association after an investigation into 74 alleged regulatory breaches, while avoiding a suspended points deduction.
The Premier League club was initially handed a suspended six-point penalty by an independent commission, but the sanction was overturned after an appeal.
The FA charges related to agent regulations, intermediary dealings and third-party investment in players between 2009 and 2022, with most incidents linked to the Roman Abramovich ownership era.
The governing body confirmed Chelsea admitted the breaches before a regulatory hearing and accepted the financial punishment.
Instead of the points deduction, an appeal board imposed a suspended transfer ban covering two consecutive windows, which will only be activated if Chelsea commit further breaches before June 2027.
The FA said it is continuing investigations into possible individual misconduct connected to the case.
Chelsea stated that the matters were self-reported in 2022 after a due diligence process uncovered potential historical financial reporting issues.
The club said it cooperated with regulators, including UEFA and the Premier League, and confirmed the FA ruling concludes all related regulatory proceedings.
