Tottenham sealed £85m Savinho deal as Man City record sale looms
Tottenham have agreed a deal worth up to £85 million for Manchester City winger Savinho, with the Brazilian set to undergo a medical before completing his move to north London.
Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement to sign Manchester City winger Savinho for a fee that could rise to £85 million, marking another major statement of intent from Roberto De Zerbi’s side.
Spurs are expected to pay £75m initially, with a further £10m available through performance-related bonuses, as they continue an aggressive recruitment drive ahead of the new Premier League season.
The 22-year-old Brazilian is expected to undergo a medical before completing the move, having been identified as a priority target after Tottenham’s attacking options were disrupted by injuries last season.
Savinho’s departure will also represent a significant financial return for City, potentially becoming the club’s most expensive outgoing transfer and surpassing the package Atletico Madrid paid for Julian Alvarez in 2024.
The winger joined City from fellow City Football Group club Troyes after impressing during a loan spell at Girona, but struggled to establish himself as a regular starter in Manchester.
He made 24 Premier League appearances last season, starting seven, and his limited opportunities have contributed to the decision to move on.
The transfer follows Tottenham’s substantial spending elsewhere in the window, with the club already investing heavily in players including Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes.
Spurs are also continuing discussions with City over a possible deal for Omar Marmoush, potentially taking their raid on the Premier League champions even further.
