Here We Go! Ferran Torres to PSG in €50m Deal From Barcelona
Ferran Torres is on his way to Paris Saint-Germain, with the deal now confirmed after days at its final stages.
Barcelona will receive a fee of around €50m for the World Cup final hero, in what becomes one of the more significant departures from the Camp Nou this summer.
PSG were in the market for a versatile forward after Goncalo Ramos’s departure to AC Milan, and having already paid a similar €50m fee for Maghnes Akliouche earlier in the window, the Torres fee was not seen as a deterrent.
The move brings an end to Torres’s spell in Catalonia that began in January 2022, when Barcelona paid Manchester City around €55m for his signature.
He leaves as Barcelona’s top La Liga scorer last season, with 12 goals in 27 appearances, and departs with a World Cup winner’s medal after starring for Spain this summer.
With the fee agreed and Torres having made his preference clear throughout, this deal now looks fully done.
He’s expected to be unveiled as a PSG player in the coming days, giving Luis Enrique fresh attacking depth as the reigning European champions look to defend their crown.
